Moon Bloodgood goes Topless and starts a ratings war
Moon Bloodgood arrived to this years Wondercon in San Francisco, with a bit of controversy over her chest. It seems the director McG, wants to have an R rating for the next installment of the Terminator film (T4 - Salvation), while Warner Bros, the distributor of the film, wants to go with a PG-13 rating, so they can have more appeal to family friendly audience.
The controversy revolves around a topless scene with Bloodgood in the rain. "It's a really pretty shot. ... I'm actually being really serious," Bloodgood said in a group interview. "I wouldn't have done it first of all, ... if I felt uncomfortable. Secondly, it wasn't a sexual thing. I mean, obviously, it's a sexual thing. But it was like a silhouette, and there's rain, and it's a moment where I'm just like, I'm drawn to this man and I just don't care anymore. Like, if you see me, see me naked, see my vulnerabilities, see my emotions, see my body. ... I just want him to see me."
This comes down to a film, keeping the artistic value of the Director, or a film that needs to make money. The last two mega hits in this genre were "The Dark Knight" and "Iron Man", which grossed over 1.5 Billion dollars between them, and both were rated PG-13. The most recent rated R Sci-Fi movie "Watchmen" started out strong with 55 millions dollars in the opening weekend, but has dropped sharply the following weeks.
Bloodgood will play the role of "Blair Williams," who is an A-10 Warthog pilot for the Resistance and is described as "a no-nonsense and battle-hardened member of the resistance" suffering from survivor guilt. She is not afraid to challenge John Connor and helps push him into his destiny as a leader of the Resistance.
Plot: Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
