Rain reigns supreme, in this years Time Magazine most influential person on
the planet online poll. (Jung Ji-hoon) Rain The 24-year-old South Korean Singer/Actor/Model
beat out Steven Colbert, of the (The
Colbert Report) for the #1 Spot on this years list. With Two and a half
million votes casted, users selected from a list of 200 nominees chosen by Time
editors. Could this be real? How could a South Korean Singer beat out the likes
of Colbert, Bono, Angelina Jolie and Steve Jobs? "The poll was an international
one and that people were allowed to vote as many times as they liked",
said the Time editor. The results, they said, could have been influenced by
the poll having been publicized on blogs and fan sites, making it possible that
Rain’s devotees stuffed the virtual ballot box. If anything, this at least
proves that Rain's fanbase is more devoted then that of Mr. Colbert.
What could have been a boost to his ratings and ego, Steven Colbert could have
spent an entire show dedicated on being The Most Influential Person on the planet.
Since that didn't happen, he was regulated to only 5 minutes trying to prove
he is more influential then Rain. In this hilarious parody, Steven takes on
his old nemesis.
